100 Days of Polymer Clay Necklaces: “42”

42 days to go until the polymer clay cruise – and here is the latest necklace in my “100 Days” challenge

Oh dear – I’ve ordered more beads and findings from Beads Unlimited. Their new plastic flower beads look lovely – I’m looking forward to when they arrive. In the meantime here is a REALLY big pendant:

These discs are only about an inch (2.5cm) across, and in the past when I’ve hung them singly from chains they always seemed a bit puny (even though they are really nice close-up, and are double-sided so have got two patterns for the price of one!). So I thought I’d see what they looked like if I hung several from one chain:

This is a bigger (better?) version of the big orange flower pendant that I made the other day. I learned from one of my earlier lessons and have taken the time to reduce the length of an already-existing string of beads to hang this pendant from, instead of hanging it from one giant long string just because it was easier:

Apart from the different stringing technique, I have also added leaves to this flower, and it has a glass bead in the centre:

I thought I’d run out of purple clay, but I found a couple of small blocks today. So I’ve made a purple flower:

Here it is close up:

I quite like the simplicity of this one.

Three chains with small orange flowers:

I think this would have been better if I’d spaced the middle layer of beads at different intervals to the other two layers, so that they didn’t all stack on top of each other.

Another biiiiiiig orange flower pendant – this time hanging from three strands of green glass bugle beads:
