Back in print!

It’s years since I wrote an artice for a craft magazine (I used to write pop-up card articles for publications such as “Popular Crafts” in the UK), but recently I decided to have another go at submitting step-by-step tutorials to magazines. The result is that for the first time in about fifteen years some of my work is going to be featured in a craft mag ( – the April 2011 edition of “PolymerCAFE”, to be exact). Yay!

It’s a shame PolymerCAFE has been losing its reputation in the UK recently, but hopefully the April edition will be a good one. Check it out at http://www.scottpublications.com/pcmag/single_issues.html

My step-by-step article is on how to create wild-violet jewellery like this:

I’ve been away on holiday for a week, but just before I went away I finished photographing a collection of the most recent items I’ve been making:

At the moment nobody seems interested in buying my jewellery (or at least, not on Ebay), so I’m a bit scared of spending time and money on putting them on a craft stall and then finding out ‘for real’ that nobody wants to buy my stuff.

On the other hand, if I don’t start showing these things to people then I definitely won’t be able to sell them. I need to bite the bullet and go to a few galleries and try to do a craft stall. Eek.
