Paper cut rose designs

Now that I’ve finished the 7MSN laserschnitt piece I am wondering what my next big project should be. But <…sigh…> nothing really leaps out and grabs me like that one did.

But I know that I can’t force inspiration to come to me, so in the meantime while I continue my quest for a new major subject I am just going to keep playing with paper and polymer clay and see what I can discover.

The other day I bought a copy of  “[amazon_textlink asin=’1844488411|1844488411′ text=’Art Nouveau Flower Designs’ template=’ProductLink’ store=’kayvincent-20|kayvincent-20′ marketplace=’UK|US’ link_id=’7676b3f0-37e1-11e8-b1e9-df061efe2e9b’]” by Polly Pinder.

I’ve made some papercuts adapted from some of her line drawings:

It is very relaxing and therapeutic, cutting paper with a craft knife. Makes a change from laser cutting designs, as well! All you need is a craft knife or scalpel (I use an [amazon_textlink asin=’B005KRSWM6|B005KRSWM6′ text=’X-Acto’ template=’ProductLink’ store=’kayvincent-20|kayvincent-20′ marketplace=’UK|US’ link_id=’09b4391c-37e3-11e8-9cf1-2baaee4b9532′]) and some [amazon_textlink asin=’B00DTSJR90|B00DTSJR90′ text=’black paper’ template=’ProductLink’ store=’kayvincent-20|kayvincent-20′ marketplace=’UK|US’ link_id=’2424c2ab-37e4-11e8-bdf7-7378fc42f90f’]. (And maybe a bit of inspiration…)
